A land for linen
We bring you linen flax from Eastern Europe, a land ideal for growing clean flax. Common flax has grown well there for thousands of years, without much water or almost any fertilizer. The climate there, the morning dew, the rain, the snow and the wind naturally soften shell stems. This process allows flax fibers to becomes suitable for linen spinning.
An intertwined tradition
Flax spinning has had a long history in Eastern Europe. Men were out working the fields, while women were sowing the yarn – this textile then intertwined into their clothing, work, and homes. This tradition continues to live strong even today, and now we are excited to bring you some of this beauty to you.
